This just in....Bass Player of the Year Nomination

I’m honored to announce that I’ve been nominated for Bass Player of the Year for the 2008 International Bluegrass Music Association’s 19th Annual Music Awards.  Fellow nominees include-  Mike Bub, Marshall Wilborn, Barry Bales and Darrin Vincent… pretty stout company, yes indeed.

I attended the press conference today held at the Country Music Hall of Fame and thoroughly enjoyed the presentation.  Dailey and Vincent performed and blew everyone away, particularly their rendition of “By The Mark”.

Congratulations to all the nominees and I’d like to especially congratulate Kristen Scott Benson and Sierra Hull on their nominations in the banjo and mandolin categories.   It is a particularly fine day to be a woman in bluegrass! ;)
